The system includes the vehicle having provided with a power steering unit, in which a signal providing information on the power consumed by the power steering unit is generated, from a signal originating from the angular sensor of the steering mechanism, for enhancing the engine feeding. The energy consumption signal is generated if the speed of the vehicle is lower than a threshold, this signal being generated if the angle detected by the sensor is greater than a predetermined ceiling.
