PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of the electrical characteristics of an electrolytic capacitor and deformation of the appearance of the capacitor due to the fact that a severe thermal stress is exerted on the capacitor for a surface mount component. SOLUTION: In an electrolytic capacitor constituted into a structure that a capacitor element, which is formed of a dielectric film and is provided with an anode member, is impregnated with a cathode electrolyte and the element is arranged and is sealed in a package material, the capacitor element or the packaged member is covered with a thermal barrier consisting of a heat- insulative material.
