METHOD FOR RECORDING CODE WORD FOR LOCKING OF CLOCK IN START PART OF TRACK ON MAGNETIC RECORDING CARRIER AND RECORDING CARRIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recording such digital signals capable of being powerfully locked to the bit clock in the information outputted from the start part of the tracks on a magnetic recording medium and a recording carrier for the same. SOLUTION: The arrays of a first code word (W1) and second code word (W2) of n bit are recorded in a second track segment (TP2) forming the start part of the tracks (T1 and T2,...). These code words have such a form that both of PR1 detection and PR4 detection are made possible in reproducing. The second code word is an inversion of the first code word. One example of the first code word is '0001110001110000011100011'.
