PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting which enables reduction in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The terminal fitting 10 is provided with a pressure-attaching part 12 for attaching an end of a wire W at the rear, and a contact part 13 arranged at the front for contacting with the other terminal fitting. The terminal fitting 10 is composed of a terminal body 11, formed by pressing a metal plate cut out in a specified shape, where a nut 15 as a separate body is assembled thereto. The contact part 13 is provided with the pre-threaded nut 15 as a separate body inside a shell 14 integrally formed on the terminal body 11. Thereby, unlike the conventional terminal fittings, there is no need for directly applying cutting processing to a body using an exclusive processing machine or the like, and the terminal body 11 can be manufactured by using a presswork used commonly for a manufacturing method of terminal fittings. Then the nut 15, which is manufactured at a low cost through mass-production, is used as an internal thread member. Accordingly manufacturing cost can be reduced.
