The coupling for transmission of a torque between two shafts, particularly between two steering column sections of a road vehicle, has one end of the first shaft (10) with a face-side hollow space (11) enclosed by at least three abutting contact surfaces. The face-side end of the second shaft (20) facing the first shaft has a projection (21) introduced into the hollow space of the first shaft, which has a number of cover surfaces (25) corresponding to the number of contact surfaces of the first shaft. The cover surfaces of the projection in their central area extending parallel to the longitudinal axis (A) of the second shaft are formed with cavities parallel to that axis. All transitions between the cover surfaces and the areas between these transitions and the cavities are rounded.
