A ceremonial occasion assisting method using a network for assisting a client who conducts a ceremonial occasion and a user who want to participate the ceremonial occasion through a network (1). A document for a ceremonial occasion is created according to event information inputted through a client's terminal (3) (S4). The document is displayed on the user's terminal in response to the request for display sent from the user's terminal (4), and the user is prompted to input user information including the amounts of <i>shugi</i> (money as a gift for wedding), <i>mimai</i> (money as a get-well gift), and <i>kouden</i> (money as a gift for solace) and personal information on the user (S5). Returns for the <i>shugi</i>, <i>mimai</i>, and <i>kouden</i> are arranged according to the inputted user information (S7).
