A brake pedal bracket is arranged to a surface near a dash panel that divides an engine room and a compartment. The top edge of a brake pedal arm (13) is mounted rotatably in the brake pedal bracket. The intermediate portion of the brake pedal arm is connected with the push rod (17) of a brake booster. The push rod is bent by a rotary power providing unit (21) depending on an excessive impact force.
