<p>An optical pickup (1) comprises a damper base, an actuator consisting of a fixed part (5a) and a movable part (5b), and four suspension wires. The fixed part (5a) consists of a C-shaped yoke (51) and a pair of magnets (52, 52) coupled to the yoke, whereas the movable part (5b) consists of a lens holder, an object lens, a pair of tracking coils (55a, 55b), and a focusing coil (56). When the movable part (5b) moves extremely toward one end along an optical axis and when it moves extremely toward the other end, the absolute values of the electromagnetic forces (F1, F5) acting on the sides (551, 555) of the tracking coils (55a, 55b) differ from the absolute values of the electromagnetic forces (F3, F7) acting on the sides (553, 557). This optical pickup can thus prevent the optical axis of the object lens from deviating from a reference axis.</p> |
