Production of nano- or micro-capsules with a diameter of 20 nm-40 mu m comprises: (1) placing template particles in an aqueous medium; (2) electrically recharging with a polyelectrolyte; (3) recharging again with a second polyelectrolyte complementary to the first polyelectrolyte without intermediate separating and washing steps; and (4) optionally continuing this process with alternating charged polyelectrolytes. An Independent claim is also included for a device for continuously coating liposomes with several polyelectrolytes.
