GAS-GENERATING AGENT COMPOSITION FOR USE IN AIR BAG

摘要

A gas-generating agent composition, characterized in that it comprises a nitrogen-containing organic compound, an inorganic oxidizing agent and a silane compound. The incorporation of a silane compound has significantly improved the speed of combustion of the composition and the mechanical strength of moldings of the composition. The gas-generating agent composition can be used for resolving the defect of conventional gas-generating agent compositions for an air bag that they do not exhibit a satisfactory combustion speed and do not have a satisfactory mechanical strength when molded, while maintaining their advantages that they are low in sensitivity and generate satisfactorily much amount of a gas.
