The nail (1) has a shaft (2) with transverse bores to hold fixing pins. Several bores (8-11) in the proximal section of the shaft are offset in their height and angles. Further bores (15,16) are formed in the distal part. Two bores (8,9) are arranged in a main plane, which enclose an additional bore (10,11) between them, which are at an angle to the main plane. Preferably, these additional bores are rotated about the same angle with respect to opposite sides relative to the main plane.
