An organic EL display such that even if a color conversion medium is provided on the luminance side of an organic EL device, excellent reliability of connection between a thin-film transistor and a lower electrode of an organic EL device is achieved, and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. An active-drive organic EL device comprising an organic EL device where an organic luminance medium is held between upper and lower electrodes and a thin-film transistor for controlling the luminescence of the organic EL device, in which the light from the organic EL device is taken out from the lower electrode side, a color conversion medium is provided on the lower electrode side, and an inclined electrical connection member is provided between the lower electrode and the thin-film transistor.
