<p>The invention relates to an extruder (1) for producing compact strands (2) from vegetable small parts, which are mixed with a binding agent, for producing pallet bearers, profiles or the like. In order to reduce the structural complexity and the space requirements of the extruder, the invention provides that, while avoiding the provision of a piston-type extruder, the system for shaping and conveying the strand is composed of conveyors (12, 13, 14) which continuously revolve like a chain and in whose feed gap thermal energy, especially saturated steam, is introduced into the small part mixture (7) that has not yet been compacted. The condensation of the steam initiates the hardening of the strand during the shaping thereof and during its advance in the passages.</p> |
