A method for producing a rubber-resin composite which comprises the steps of (1) preparing a vulcanized rubber molded product by means of the vulcanization molding, (2) forming an adhesive layer containing chlorosulfonated polyethylene as a main component on the surface of the molded rubber product to be used for adhesion with a thermoplastic resin, and (3) placing the molded rubber product in a mold and injecting a melt of a thermoplastic resin containing a glass fiber in an amount f 30 to 60 wt % into a mold, to thereby form a rubber-resin molded product. The method can be used for producing a rubber-resin composite exhibiting high adhesion between a vulcanized rubber molded product component and a thermoplastic resin molded product component at a reduced cost in combination with good moldability and a satisfactory mechanical strength of the resultant product.
