COLOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER

A color liquid crystal display having a single liquid crystal panel where at least a first partial display area (e.g., an arbitrary image display area) having display specifications and a second partial display area (e.g., specific image display area) having display specifications different from those of the first partial display area are integrally provided, in which the color filter pattern of the first partial display area is different from that of the second partial display area. The pitch between colors of the color filter of the second partial display area is, e.g., 1/3 or 1/6, which is smaller than that of the first partial display area. The colors of the color filter of the second partial display area are staggered or arranged in a delta array. The extension line of each icon provided in the specific image display area crosses each color of the color filter of the second partial display area. An improved method for manufacturing a color filter used in such a color liquid crystal display.
