A test device comprises a plate containing a multiplicity of wells and an associated metering device suitable for simultaneously introducing equal volumes of reagent into different wells of the test device. The test device comprises wells which have a volume within the range of 0.1-20 mul. The ratio between the depth of the wells and the diameter is preferably less than 1:1. The test device according to the invention can be used for carrying out the bio- or immuno-chemical test such as a pepscan or ELISA.
