<p>A limited slip differential (10) comprises a casing (12) containing a fluid medium, said casing (12) rotatably driven along an axis by an input member (14); plurality of opposing pinions (64, 66) therein said casing (12) that are immersed in said casing fluid medium, having substantially parallel rotational axes, said opposing pinions (64, 66) meshing one with the other circumferentially at medial portions of said meshing opposing pinions (64, 66); said pinions (64, 66) having partitions therebetween lateral and said medial portions of each of said opposing pinions (64, 66); opposing driven gears (57, 58), immersed in said casing fluid medium, said opposing driven gears (57, 58) meshing with a plurality of said lateral portions; said opposing driven gears (57, 58) having output shafts (16, 18) adjoined thereto; said casing (12) having opposing holes (32) therethrough, said opposing output shafts (16, 18) rotatably mounted therethrough, and seals (124, 125, 126, 127) adapted to retain said fluid medium therein said casing (12).</p> |
