A gas burner has a body 13 formed with an elongated opening 14 which receives a corrugated strip 15, the downwardly opening troughs of which communicate with the interior of body 13 and the upwardly opening troughs with atmosphere. The strip 15 is held by a member 17 against a vertical flange 16, at the rear of the opening 14, which blanks off the rear of all the troughs. In the embodiment of Fig. 3 (not shown), the burner body is formed with concentric walls 22, 23 defining an annular opening supplied with gas and above which is fitted a circular corrugated member 25. The member is supported on ledges 26 extending out from the walls 22, 23 below their upper ends. Either end of the troughs may be blanked off by a metal ring and the burner protected by an overlying imperforate ring. The troughs of the corrugated members 15 and 25 inwardly taper from their open end.</p> |
