The invention relates to a novel chemotherapeutic preparation, in the form of powder, which can be used for prophylaxis and therapy of infections in pigs and poultry. The preparation represents the mixture of oxytetracycline hydrochloride and sulfadimidine to which neomycin sulfate is added as a vehicle. The amount of lactose in the mixture depends on the activity of antibiotics being about 80 % calculated to total amount of the preparation. The presence of carbohydrates contributes to higher homogenization level of the preparation, possibility of dissolving the powder in water, better use of food providing so a new application of the preparation - it is used as a source of energy which contributes to more rapid growth of animals. |
