<p>Arranged in series with an ion chromatography column is a suppressor serving to suppress the conductivity of the electrolyte of the eluent but not the conductivity of the separated ions. This suppressor needs to be regenerated when exhausted. During regeneration the effluent from the detector is mixed with a gas and recycled to a regenerant flow channel of the suppressor.</p> |
