<p>The invention is directed to corrosion and wear resistant metallic coatings containing nickel, boron, and thallium. The coatings are preferably deposited on catalytically active substrates from an electroless coating bath containing nickel ions, a mixture of thallium nitrate and thallium sulfate as a stabilizer, a metal ion complexing agent, and a borohydride reducing agent, at a pH of about 10 to about 14.</p> |
