CUTTING METHOD FOR METAL PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of burrs in cutting a metal pipe crosswise by the rotation of a cutting grinding wheel. SOLUTION: In this method, the metal pipe is cut by rotating the disc-like cutting grinding wheel in the state where the metal pipe is fixed without rotation, advancing it to the inside of the metal pipe in the direction right-angle to the axial direction of the metal pipe to continue the cutting by the cutting edge part on the periphery of the cutting grinding wheel, stopping the advance of the grinding wheel while continuing its rotation before the tip of the grinding wheel makes contact with the inner surface of the bottom part of the metal pipe, and rotating the metal pipe about the axis to cut the remaining part by the grinding wheel continuing the rotation.
