PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize violent movement patterns such as running and jumping without using a large-scale drive mechanism having a high movement speed and a large torque. SOLUTION: This robot is provided with a power storage mechanism constituted by, for example, a power spring and a flywheel in addition to an ordinary drive mechanism such as an actuator performing walking movement. A high movement speed and a large torque can be generated without using the large- scale actuator by storing power in advance by driving a motor and releasing the stored power instantaneously. Device cost can be reduced. Moreover, a battery having large power consumption and a large capacity is not required.
