PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a syringe pump capable of selecting an obstruction pressure optionally in various syringes each matching with syringe capacity (syringe diameter) and syringe maker, or a syringe storing a predetermined medicine previously and to provide its obstruction pressure detecting method. SOLUTION: The syringe pump and its obstruction pressure detecting method is composed of a storage means forming a table of data including a syringe cross sectional area, a syringe sliding resistance, a syringe outside diameter, and an upper limit value of a syringe obstruction pressure for every syringe maker and syringe capacity of one or more syringes, a judging means specifying a set syringe on the basis of the detected syringe outside diameter and a set inputted syringe maker name, a deciding means deciding an obstruction pressure threshold value on the basis of information selected from the specified syringe and the obstruction pressure upper limit value, a comparing means comparing the detected syringe obstruction pressure with the threshold value, and an alarming means issuing an alarm on the basis of the result from the comparing means. |
