PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of simply producing aromatic mono-substituted dichlorophosphates with good productivity in a high yield in a short time. SOLUTION: This method of producing aromatic mono-substituted dichlorophosphates is characterized in that phosphorus oxychloride and a monovalent aromatic compound having a phenolic OH group are substantially simultaneously charged into a reactional vessel and magnesium chloride having a moisture content within the range of 0.3-10 wt.% is used as a catalyst in the method for producing the aromatic mono-substituted dichlorophosphates obtained by reacting the phosphorus oxychloride with the monovalent aromatic compound having the phenolic OH group.
