PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which can be used with ease for both operations and diagnoses and which makes palpation by the operating doctors possible without a risk of disturbing the operation of prostatectomy or the like. SOLUTION: A detachable ultrasonic probe body 13 is connected to the tip of an axle 14a of a probe holder 12 and a transducer accommodation 15 is arranged at the tip side of the probe body 13. A hole part 16 for inserting fingers is put behind the transducer accommodation 15. On the wall part of the hole part 16 for inserting fingers on the probe body 13, a side opening part 17 is fixed, which enables the tip of a finger 18 to appear.
