PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information indicating material for prevention of forgery which is hard to forge and can be discriminated easily and inexpensively. SOLUTION: The information indicating material given properties of authentication has at least a cholesteric liquid crystal layer and an information indicating layer on a substrate. The cholesteric liquid crystal layer contains at least one kind of polymerizable cholesteric liquid crystal having a molecular weight of 2000 or less and at least one kind of chiral compound.
