PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood collecting tube to be used in optically measuring the sedimentation speed of red corpuscles in blood. SOLUTION: The blood collecting tube is a cylindrical transparent container with an ID pasted part 1A to which an ID label for discriminating a subject is pasted and a translucent part 1B for measuring the sedimentation speed of red corpuscles. The ID pasted part 1A is an upper cylindrical part with large diameter corresponding to the standard size of the ID label, and the translucent part 1B is a lower cylindrical part with small diameter corresponding to a subject. As for the blood collecting tube 1 for an adult, the lower cylindrical part 1A is shaped as a standard tube with the capacity corresponding to the permissible quantity of blood to be collected for an adult. As for the blood collecting tube 1 for infant, the lower cylindrical part 1A is shaped as a capillary tube with the capacity corresponding to the permissible quantity of blood to be collected for an infant.
