PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively clean a fouled screen plate used in the screen process printing of cream solder, etc. on a substrate. SOLUTION: A washing type cleaning system for a screen plate is composed of an upper part device A and a lower part device B. The device A is installed vertically movably on the upper surface side of the screen plate 2 held horizontally and has a housing 3 having an opening part 3A which can contact the upper surface of the screen plate when brought down to a descent position, a lift means 4 for moving the housing vertically, a means 5 for vibrating the screen plate, a spray means for spraying a cleaning solution to the upper surface of the screen plate, and a cleaning unit C arranged in the housing 3 to be able to reciprocate forward/backward. The cleaning unit C has a drive mechanism which reciprocates the means 5 perpendicularly to its moving direction. The lower part device is installed vertically movably on the lower surface side of the screen plate and has a container 21 for receiving the cleaning solution flowing down through the pattern holes of the screen plate when it is cleaned. The means 5 actuates its vibrator 5B being immersed in the cleaning solution retained on the screen plate.
