PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit of an electronic endoscope which can secure a sufficient clearance for aligning to adjust centering of an objective optical system and a solid-state image sensing device without interfering with the connection sections of the built-in objects disposed in the periphery. SOLUTION: A clearance for aligning 31 to adjust centering of an objective optical system 11 and a solid-state image sensing device 21 is interposed between a objective optical system unit 10 and an imaging section support cylinder 30.
