PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a conjugate suitable for a lateral flow testing method and other testing methods for detecting the presence of a test specimen in a test sample, stable even when the humidity fluctuates and capable of forming stable covalent bonds with molecules containing a free primary amine or a free secondary amine or a sulfhydryl group even after long-term storage. SOLUTION: This conjugate is expressed by a structural formula (1) or (2) [X is a solid-phase substance having hydroxyl groups; R5 is represented by (CH2)n(NH(CH2)m)p; n is 2-8; m is 2-8; p is 0-3; R6 and R7 are each selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aromatic group or a heterocyclic group and contains 0-8 hydroxyl groups, hydroxycarbonyl groups or aminocarbonyl groups; Q is any molecule containing a free primary or a free secondary amine group; and L is any molcule containing a sulfhydryl group).
