PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device capable of controlling the deployment of an air bag by an external load applied on the air bag when the air bag is deployed. SOLUTION: This air bag device 1 comprises the air bag 3 deployed when a vehicle collides to protect an occupant, an inflator 4 having a gas generation means supplying gas to deploy the air bag 3, and a retainer case 2 storing the air bag 3 and the inflator 4. The retainer case 2 is provided with an exhaust port 11 exhausting the gas generated from the inflator 4 to the outside of the retainer case 2 and a movable means 12 connected with the air bag 3 to close the exhaust port 11 due to travel in accordance with the deployment of the air bag 3. |
