PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a photocatalyst and to provide a decomposing method for toxic substances using the photocatalyst. SOLUTION: This photocatalyst is formed by carrying a photocatalyst in the pores of mesoporous silicate. The inside of the mesoporous silicate acts as a mold carrying the photocatalyst and can carry fine particles of TiO2. The quantum size effect of the photocatalyst is exhibited, so that catalytic activity effect is effectively demonstrated. |
