PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a conventional problem that while a hand-written tack label is typically used for management in managing media, the management is hindered by forgetting to stick the label to a medium or failing to rewrite the label when adding, changing or deleting files, resulting in difficulty to find a medium on which a file of interest has been recorded. SOLUTION: The latest file management information which is managed by a file management function is automatically output to the label in conjunction with the file management function of a processor when the files are added, changed or deleted from the media. The label with the latest information thus output is used in media management.
