NEW SIDEROPHORE ACTIVATOR PRODUCED BY MARINE BACTERIUM AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new siderophore being a trivalent iron high-affinity chelating agent. SOLUTION: This compound is represented by general formula (I). This method of producing the compound of formula (I) is characterized by culturing Pseudoalteromonas R-353A strain being a marine bacterium capable of producing the compound of formula (I) in an iron restriction medium, forming and accumulating the compound of formula (I) in the culture product and collecting the compound of (I) from the culture product. This trivalent iron high-affinity chelating agent comprises the compound of formula (I) as an active ingredient.
