PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sideways installing type foam head of a foam fire extinguishing equipment which can discharge in a short distance without a limit of discharging in a short distance like conventional foam heads. SOLUTION: This sideways installing type foam head is provided with a head body 1 which is installed sideways for discharging a foam solution sideways from a discharging port 2, a net 10 for foaming arranged so as to cover the discharging port of the head body, and a deflector plate 8, which is arranged in a direction capable of closing the discharging port in a position distant from the discharging port inside the net for foaming, and which has at least water discharging holes and cutouts for the foam solution to pass.
