SEAT BELT SYSTEM FOR RESTRAINING OCCUPANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt system for restraining occupant mountable as both of a three-point type system and a four-point type system, comfortable and easily usable and having single buckle and tongue. SOLUTION: The seat belt system 10 for restraining occupant is provided on a seat 12 for vehicle having a seat back 14 extending between an upper part 16 and a lower part 18 and a seat cushion 20 extending between a vehicle inside part 22 and a vehicle outside part 24. The seat belt system 10 for restraining occupant has also the tongue 34 for connecting a vehicle inside shoulder belt webbing 26 and a vehicle inside lap belt webbing 30 in a part adjacent to the vehicle inside part 22 of the seat cushion 20. The seat belt system 10 for restraining occupant has the buckle 36 for connecting a vehicle outside shoulder belt webbing 28 and a vehicle outside lap belt webbing 32 in the part adjacent to the vehicle inside part 22 of the seat cushion 20.
