PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a bottom-closed cylindrical β-alumina tube by firing a formed article of bottom-closed cylindrical β-alumina tube without causing the deformation, bending, degradation, etc. SOLUTION: The formed bottom-closed cylindrical β-alumina tube 1 is erected by directing the bottom 5 upward. The bottom 5 is covered with a platinum cap 3 having a number of holes or a platinum cap 3 having irregularity on the face contacting with the bottom 5 and the tube is placed in a firing vessel 2 and fired. |
