PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical surface finishing machine for optical part in which the curvature radius of the surface to be machined of an optical part can be set in a wide range regardless of convex or concave shape. SOLUTION: In this machine, a pair of brackets 6 are vertically provided opposite to each other in symmetric positions with respect to a hole 5 for inserting the optical part to be installed to an upper shaft to a base plate 2, and a casing 7 for rotatably retaining a lower shaft 10 through a housing 11 is provided between the brackets 6, and shaft holes 19 corresponding to each shaft hole 18 provided through in the brackets 6 are provided through in symmetric positions about the axial line of the circumferential wall of the casing 7. The end of a shaft 8 fitted to any of the shaft holes 18 of the bracket 6 is inserted to the shaft hole 19, whereby the casing 7 is supported rockably about the shaft 8, so that the rocking center of the lower shaft 10 can be changed.
