PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction tool for a vacuum cleaner which prevents its imbalance and has a good operability and dust collection performance. SOLUTION: A rotary brush 19 comprises a nearly cylindrical brush holder 28 on the periphery of which there is provided a brush 29 constituting a dust raking section and electrically powered devices 30, 30a which are provided on the both ends of the brush holder 28 to rotate it. The two electrically powered devices 30, 30a on the both ends prevent the imbalance of the suction tool body 18 and operability and dust collection performance can be improved.
