<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a foam molding, especially a foam molding suitable as a microorganism immobilized carrier for a fluidized bed and a carrier for a combined septic tank useful in a sewage treating apparatus for treating sewage by using a microorganism. SOLUTION: This foam molding is obtained by subjecting a resin composition consisting essentially of a polyolefin-based resin, a hygroscopic substance, a glycerol derivative and an inorganic filler to foam molding and has open cells in the interior. The open cells comprise through cells in which two or more parts in the open cells communicate with the surface of the foam molding and half-through cells in which only one part in the interior of the open cells communicates with the surface of the foam molding. The occupation ratio of the volume of the open cells in the whole volume of the foam molding is >=20%.</p> |
