PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound high in coefficient of traction at high temperatures, excellent in low-temperature viscosity characteristics, therefore useful as a fluid for traction drive. SOLUTION: This new compound is at least one bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane derivative selected from compounds each having a specific three-dimensional structure such as exo-2-methyl-exo-3-methyl-endo-2-[(endo-3-methylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-exo-2- yl)methyl]bicyclo [2.2.1]heptane.
