PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF RIGID POLYURETHANE/UREA FOAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for the preparation of a rigid polyurethane/urea foam(RPUF) which process uses a specific polyetherpolyol to make possible a big decrease in an amount of a CFC-based foaming agent used when the rigid polyurethane/urea foam is prepared. SOLUTION: The process for the preparation of a rigid polyurethane/urea foam(RPUF) is characterized by reacting either a polyetherpolyol or a mixed polyetherpolyol and a polyisocyanate in the presence of a foaming agent of a mixture system of water and CFC, with said polyetherpolyol being obtained by adding an alkylene oxide consisting of 2-50% by mass of ethylene oxide and 98-50% by mass of propylene oxide to the starting material having an average number of functional groups of 4.0-6.0 which is a mixture of sucrose, a sugar alcohol having four or more of hydroxy groups in one molecule and a polyetherpolyol having three hydroxy groups in one molecule and a hydroxy value of 600 mg KOH/g or more, or with said mixed polyetherpolyol consisting of 50% by mass or more said polyetherpolyol and 50% by mass or less of a polyetherpolyol having three to six hydroxy groups in one molecule.
