PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for supporting a rotary in rotary work machine, capable of preventing straws, weeds or the like from twining around the end of a claw shaft. SOLUTION: In this mechanism for supporting a rotary in rotary work machine having the claw shaft 14 of which the curved surface is protjectingly equipped with a rotary claws 15 for carrying out cultivation work of farm fields, and further having a holder 24 which contains a bearing 23 in a bearing box 17 for supporting both the ends of the claw shaft 14 to freely rotate the shaft and is attached to the side of a machine frame 5, a rib-shaped scraper 28 for scraping down the straws, the weeds or the like from the end of the claw shaft 14 is attached to the holder 24 so that the scraper 28 is upward protruded from the outer surface of the holder 24, the bearing box 17 is located in such a position that the bottom of the bearing box 17 is not projected in a direction of the farm field from the bottom of a flange located at a position in the claw shaft 14 near to the holder 24, and further, an edge of the scraper 28 facing to the flange is positioned near the flange.
