PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nip roller that can sandwich a fed material continuously reliably. SOLUTION: An eccentric roller 40 with an abutment ring 42 rotatably mounted on the periphery is disposed on the side of a roller 12 opposite to a roller 14. The eccentric roller 40 is eccentric to a shaft bar 38 so that the radial dimension from the shaft bar 38 to the periphery of the abutment ring 42 changes gradually about the shaft bar 38. The abutment between the abutment ring 42 and a shaft bar 16 of the roller 12 is in the upstream side of a line L interconnecting the centers of the rollers 12 and 14 along the direction of rotation of the roller 12. The abutment is furthermore in the downstream side of that point on the periphery of the eccentric roller 40 which is most distant from the shaft bar 38 along the rotation direction. When the roller 12 is rotated, the abutment ring 42 in an accordingly rotated state presses the shaft bar 16 of the roller 12.
