PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-standing bag which is easy in making the bag and filling the content, excellent in appearance and shape stability of the bag after the content is filled, and more excellent in self-standing stability. SOLUTION: The self-standing bag 100 is formed in a shape having a gusset 7 on a lower portion thereof, i.e., a bottom film is folded inside and inserted between lower portions of forward and rear wall surface films 1, 1', the inserted portion is heat-sealed by a ship-bottom shaped bottom seal portion 2 to form a bottom portion, both edges are heat-sealed by side sealing portions 3, 3 of the shape in which the bag width is narrowed from an intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction of the bag to an upper portion thereof to form a body portion, outside upper portions of the side sealing portions 3, 3 are cut by upper notched portions 9a, 9b, and lower right and left sides of the bag are cut by lower notched portions 8a, 8b diagonally upward from the inside to the outside. An easily unsealing means such as a perforation 10 and/or a notch 11 is preferably provided at the unsealing position of the bag 100.
