PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze a gene to be a base for producing a series of enzymes or recombinants to express the enzyme involved in the upstream of a polycyclic aromatic decomposition pathway using a genetic engineering method. SOLUTION: This gene group encodes a protein comprising an amino acid sequence represented by a sequence number 2, 4, 6 or 8 (reference to the specification) or an amino acid sequence in which one or plural amino acids are deleted, substituted or added in the amino acid sequence represented by the sequence number 2, 4, 6 or 8. This protein group comprises the amino acid sequence represented by the sequence number 2, 4, 6 or 8 or the amino acid sequence in which one or plural amino acids are deleted, substituted or added in the amino acid sequence represented by the sequence number 2, 4, 6 or 8.
