PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and to compact the driving shaft support part of a reel main body, and to smooth and to facilitate the fishing operation, in a fishing reel for preventing the reverse rotation of the driving shaft by using both a ratchet type reverse rotation prevention apparatus having a large reverse rotation play degree and a reverse rotation prevention apparatus having a small reverse rotation play degree. SOLUTION: A second reverse rotation prevention apparatus B for preventing the reverse rotation of a driving shaft 9 by the fastening force of a coil spring 16 is wound between the driving shaft 9 provided with a ratchet type first reverse rotation prevention apparatus A connected to a spool and a projected cylindrical part 12 of the reel main body 1. The reverse rotation prevention apparatus B having a small reverse rotation play degree is compactly attached to the driving shaft 9.
