The titanium oxide for adsorbing bilirubin in plasma is provided with physical characteristics such as a specific surface of 20-80 m2/g, a mean pore diameter of 150-200 Å, and a pH of 6-7.5 and selectively adsorbs total bilirubin in plasma when it is brought into direct contact with the plasma.
