PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a design-mode pattern rationally on the outer peripheral surface of a tubular body without grinding the body, regarding the tubular body having a helical pattern formed on the surface, such as a shaft of a club or a fishing rod. SOLUTION: On the occasion of winding wrapping tapes c1 and c2 helically on the outer peripheral surface of a reinforcing fiber prepreg 1 wound on a mandrel b, they are wound with an intention for a design so that they form a prescribed helical pattern, and the prepreg 1 is heated to be hardened in this state. Thereby arbitrary helical patterns c1' and c2' are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the tubular body (a).
